The Beatles story

The Beatles were a british band that started it's peak in 1963 and endend at 1969, beign one of the most influential band of the word.

Were it all started...

It all started when the teenager John Lennon learned to play the guitar with his mother (Julia Lennon), and a little after, took harmonica classes in his school. John started his first band with some classmates and his best friend Pete Best at the Quarry Back Primay school, which inspired the band's name, The Quarryman. With the band formed, they perfomed shows at the St Peter's church.

But, one day, a boy with incridible piano and guitar ability as a left-handed was watching the show. His name was Paul, from the Liverpool Institue, and after the band's show he went to talk with John. After showing his abilities playing the guitar, John was impressed, and incluided him in the band, in 6 July 1957. A little while, Paul invited his best friend to watch their shows, George Harrison, that eventualy, auditioned to join the band, and with his incridible guitar abilities, was easily accepted.

With the band formed, the bassist, an Lennon's art school friend, after some alterations in the band, suggested changing the band's name to Beatals, as a tribute to Buddy Holly and the Crickets. They used this name until May, when they became the Silver Beetles, before undertaking a brief tour of Scotland as the backing group for pop singer and fellow Liverpudlian Johnny Gentle. By early July, they had refashioned themselves as the Silver Beatles, and by the middle of August simply the Beatles.

Allan Williams, the Beatles' unofficial manager, arranged a residency for them in Hamburg. They auditioned and hired drummer Pete Best in mid-August 1960. The band, now a five-piece, departed Liverpool for Hamburg four days later, contracted to club owner Bruno Koschmider for what would be a 3+1⁄2-month residency. They went to a lot of clubs in the start, which most of them were strip clubs from Koschmider. But, after an incident (I can say it was McCartney and Best fault's) they were fired from Koshmider.

Lennon returned to Liverpool in early December, while Sutcliffe remained in Hamburg until late February with his German fiancée Astrid Kirchherr, who took the first semi-professional photos of the Beatles. During the next two years, the Beatles were resident for periods in Hamburg. After their second completed show at Hamburger residency, they went to perfom some shows at the famous Cavern Club. The place a local record-store owner loved their songs. Brian Epstein, which, two months after their encouter, became their manager.

Epstein managed to get the band to to EMI Recording Studios (later, Abbey Road Studios) with the help of producer George Martin. But, the band was now a quartet, since Sutcliffe died from a brain hemorrhage.

At the first recording session in 6 june 1962, Best was mostly absent in every recording. Best was later replaced in mid-Agust of the year with Richard Starkey, who called himself Ringo Starr, who left the band Rory Storm and the Hurricanes just to join them. And now, the official recording sessions of their first album, Please Please Me was officially being produced.
